I am starting my vacation so in order to get a show online i had to pre-record it. But that doesn't make it a cheap show. In fact, it's probably the best playlist i had yet. I still have 2 more weeks of vacation and will still try to get some shows online.

YWDP is #1 on Podship !!!
"Yuzzy's Weekend Dancefloor Podcast" is #1 in the top podcast directory of The Podship. That's all because of you all. Thanks to everyone! Now let's try the same on Odeo and iTunes... ;)
Also, things are moving very fast. I should have some new and cool stuff on the show like interviews and a "Top 10 Best Of" special edition of the YWDP. I even have a secret project for the show that i'll soon reveal... Stay tuned...

A new podcast ???
Yes sir!
I have put togheter a new podcast called Dancefloor Music Dropbox. Even if it works just like a podcast, it is not an usual podcast show.
The way it works?
For trance, dance or house music composer, you just need to send me your tracks on my email. I'll put your track into my dropbox podcast as is (uncut, no voiceover, no ads, no sfx, no promos).
For listeners, you just subscribe to the RSS feed into your iTune or Juice receiver just like a regular podcast. Once a while you should be receiving a full featured song (uncut, no voiceover, no ads, no sfx, no promos... just the song) on your hard drive.
It's just my way of trying to link artists to listeners...

I need your comments... and your songs... and your love...
According to the Emails, there are lots of you listeners who are composers as well. I am looking foward to play only "submitted" music but right now, i have to lurk around the web to find them myself. If you are a DJ, composer, producer (call it what you want...) and you do Trance, Dance or House music, please feel free to send me your tracks (or a link to where i can find them). I would love to play them on the show. Until then, i'll just keep searching for great stuff.

Meanwhile, i am looking to (maybe) move all my stuff from my podcast host Big In Japan. I am having a few problems and bugs i'de really like to get rid of. As i am writing this down, it is written that i have 207 subscribers when in fact, i suspect having half of it... I might jump to paid service, depending on you guys...

Let me introduce you to my SCM800.
Look at this beauty !!!Yep folks! Uncle Yuzz will soon talk to you over this worder. It's a Nady, model SCM800 and according to the reviews, it really sounds great. The only problem i have is that it's a condenser microphone that will need phantom power. And I ain't got none on my Lantec Mixer. So i'm lurkinsg around Ebay again, only this time it'll be for a little audio mixer.
I also received great comments for the show. Thanks to everyone, particuliarly Rob. It gave me a boost. I need those comments and critics... good or bad...
As for my French canadian accent... no bad comments yet.

OK... it's free. But still.
I might re-release the first episode of the YWDP from another host... (free for now, of course). I also am lurking around at Ebay for a cheap (priced) micrphone (good quality one). I tryed everything in the house to see if had had anything at hand that could be better than my Labtec Headmic. I even ended up with my daughter's cheap "Barbie keyboard" microphone. Nothing "podcastable" there.
Meanwhile, the studio is getting better and better. I'm having my desk setup. Still need to paint the desk, finish the electricity, install a door and install an interior studio window... so it should be up in 2027...

My podcast host is down !!!
That's my Murphy's Law right there. Just when i finished promoting my podcast and trying to get some of my first listeners, down goes my podcast host (Big In Japan). Seems like my efforts to create a good first impression will be turned into another of these bad luck moment. Sorry about that folks. They say it should be up in a couple of days...
But thinking of it, this message is almost useless since the main way to get here is from a link in my RSS Feed... whish is down... baaaaahhhhh....

My Blog Page is up!
Big In Japan (My podcast host) is a great and simple place for a podcaster but they don't have a suitable storefront for the podcasts themself. So i managed to create this blogger page and use it as my main page for the YWDP. It will also be a great place for listeners to leave messages and comments.
About my microphone, i know it's crappy. I am currently using a cheap headmic whish I had for free with my Labtec speakers. I am lurking around Ebay to find a suitable mic. But this will not fix my french canadian accent ;)
