If you are a Trance, Dance or House music composer, please send me your tracks directly in My Email. It's email@example.com . Please make sure you own the rights to every piece your sending.
Don't send any remixes or covers from commercial songs. Your track should be in an MP3 file format and should be at least 192kbps.Please try to send an mp3 file and not just a link. If your file is too big to get trough your email host then i should accept links. But only if it's your last solution.
You have to include a link to your artist page. I prefer tracks that are available for download but if it isn't, you should note that detail in your email...
Finaly... listen to the show, tatoo yourself a big YUZZY on your face and tell all your friends about it !!!
The Yuzzy's Weekend Dancefloor Podcast was created to fill a gap between the listeners and the artists. Being a dance music artist myself, I wanted to offer exposure to the artists, but I also wanted the listeners to be able to get something more than just a music line-up.
To acheive the goals i've set for the YWDP, I came up with two very basic ideas. The first was to offer most of the music played on the show as downloads. Of course both listeners and artists are profiting from this. The listeners get some great music for free and the artists get more hits on their websites. (Note that I don't provide a direct link or do not host the MP3 file myself. I only provide a link to the artists websites... where the listeners can then download the song)
The second idea is also very basic and inspired by some talk shows and morning shows. Since dance, trance or house music are, most of the time, featured all mixed or in a standard line-up format, the artists don't get quite the exposure i think it should. That's why I'm trying to talk more about the artists in between the songs. I never hesitate to speak my mind and tell my appreciation about this artist.
I also tryed to come up with a show that would be humourous, fun and uplifting. I wanted to have a "party feel like" kind of show where there would be small sketches, pranks and humourous moments.
Most of the music played on the YWDP have the approval of the artists. It might have happen that I sometimes can't get in touch with the artist or i'm taking a risk and playing them in the wait for an approval... But that's very rare.
